We at Curb Appeal pay our field employees approximately 20% more than industry standards and our field managers and department managers are paid approximately 20% more per year in salaries to produce dedicated employees.  We schedule (2) company outings per year by taking our employees and their families to amusement parks at our cost; in addition to our numerous company parties.  Our employee incentive programs range from issuing bonuses, promotion opportunities, to extra vacation time for work well done.  Our employee of the year may receive a 46" television delivered to their home for their family's enjoyment.  All this represents expending more dollars on our customers, understanding that it all starts with our employees.

In early spring of each year, Curb Appeal will issue a yearly overview services spreadsheet to inform our customers of time frames our services are performed prior to scheduled work without having to pick up the phone.

Evaluation Of Services (Giving You The Chance To Grade Us) Have you ever wanted to grade your landscape contractor?  Here is your chance. In mid-summer of each year, we ask our customers to take the opportunity to grade our company's performance.  This evaluation ranges from proper mowing to trimming of shrubs using proper horticultural techniques; thus, allowing us to take a look at how we are "managing" your property's landscape needs and putting our "landscape program" to the test.

ForeverGreen is the brainchild of our owner, Tom Kuebler, who had searched for a reliable alternative to the standard chemical approach to turf applications. While the applications are not yet 100% organic (we hope to be by the end of 2004), our process is simple....use the least amount of chemical possible, and apply only what is dictated by the specific conditions at each property. In other words, we won't sell you somehting you don't need!

In spring and fall, Curb Appeal arranges walk-throughs of your property with you and your assigned landscape manager.  During these walk-throughs, Curb Appeal will assess the landscape management of your property.  Your Curb Appeal representatives will comprise a punch list for our crews to perform.  In addition, approximately every (8) weeks your landscape manager will call to simply check in to apprise you of upcoming services and to check the quality of workmanship of our field personnel and to identify services which your landscape may be in need of.

Have you ever wondered if your moving crew is being timed on a stopwatch?  We did...

It is Curb Appeal's mission to make your landscapes 100% at each visit by spending more time on your property.  Our mowing foreman (who visits your property most often, approximately 24 times a year) will inspect for weeds in mulched areas, dead wood on trees, and shrubs and other odds and ends to make your property as close to 100% as possible each and every visit.  We are not a company who sends a mowing crew out each week to simply mow, blow, and go (as many of our competitors do).  The end result is Curb Appeal "managing" your landscape vs. strictly "maintaining" your landscape.

Naturally Dyed Mulch

Have you ever wondered why your mulch may turn an ugly grey color after only two months?  We did...

Curb Appeal is one of the few commercial companies in Northern Virginia offering a top-grade double shredded naturally dye mulch to cover your possibly existing ugly, grey mulch. This mulch acts as an insecticide application by not allowing insects to make homes in our insect resistant cedar mulch. The attractive black color will remain for one year (mostly all other industry standard mulch fades to an unappealing greyish color after approximate two months. This mulch is more expensive and the availability is not as great as the industry standard mulch which is why many companies choose the industry standard mulch. Curb Appeal chooses the naturally dyed mulch to allow our properties to stand out from the rest and to expend more dollars on our customers.

Computer Landscape Imaging (Check Out Our New Landscape Software) Have you ever wondered if a landscaper knows what he is proposing will work?  We did... Check out the latest technology in landscape software. This software utilizes digital imaging, photographing your property's landscape by use of a commercial digital camera. This disc is programmed into our landscape software to recreate color renderings of any and all new landscapes our customers can envision on their properties. This allows our customers to view proposed landscape enhancements, prior to installation through consultation with our Landscape Designer.

Our on-staff degreed horticulturist/landscape designer will visit your property each and every spring to evaluate the status of your existing landscape. At this time enhancement proposals will be drawn and issued to our customers to educate them on any landscape enhancements they may be in need of.

Curb Appeal makes every effort to go above and beyond the grounds maintenance contract (to exceed many of our competitors philosophy) setting the standard for our industry. For example, if there are two leaf removals in your contract, we may do additional removals at no charge. If there are 24 mowings per year in your contract, we may do additional cuts at no additional charge. And the list goes on and on...
